Every year as we get ready for back to school, I am reminded of a very funny office supply store commercial from about 10+ years ago. It showed glowing, happy parents skipping as they pushed shopping carts down the aisles collecting supplies for their kids while "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is playing in the background. I definitely remember that feeling resonating with me that particular year, and as I walked my kids into school that song, and those images, popped into my head. (Sorry Ethan & Lily! It must have been a challenging summer!) 😂
Of course, it wasn't always that way. The year Ethan started kindergarten I literally felt sick and thought I was coming down with something. I remember it hit me like a ton of bricks one day that I was just heart sick! He was growing up SO fast and my heart just couldn't take it.
So, whether you are new to the whole sending your baby to school thing, or if you are skipping through your house in anticipation of the first day, I feel you! A mix of emotions is totally normal!
One of those emotions might be stress; it's easy to get overwhelmed with preparing to make it a great school year for your child. I've said it many times before, but when my two were little I never felt like I had the time to create all of the fun printables that I do now. Young moms have a lot on their plate! But, I was always keeping a running list of things I would love to have, and I asked friends what products they would like for school, and over the years I have added many printables to my Etsy store.
